because I have so much for which to be grateful

CSA Veggies

Saturday we got our first share of veggies from the CSA. Awesome! The harvest season in Florida is kind of backwards from most of the country. This was the season’s first harvest. We got:

  • Romaine lettuce
  • Green Beans
  • Pink Beauty Radish
  • Turnip Greens
  • Mustard Greens
  • Rainbow Chard
  • Sweet Basil
  • Cucumbers
  • Yellow Squash
  • Delicata Squash
  • Eggplant

Chad made a yummy veggie lentil soup for dinner and used up the green beans and mustard greens. I have been having the most amazing salads with the lettuce, radishes, radish greens and basil. It’s been fun looking up recipes and figuring out how I’m going to use up the rest of the items. The first share is kind of small, but as the season progresses and more things are ready for harvest, it will get bigger. I’m so excited about it! I am grateful for our first CSA veggies.
